Our Rooms

Little Wonders Rolleston has four separate rooms, enabling us to deliver safe, nurturing and age appropriate learning experiences for all our children.

Whakato

This safe, cosy and welcoming space is our nursery room for our youngest children from 0-1 years of age

Daily Rythm

“Whakato – to plant, introduce and nurture.”

Welcome to our beautiful, calm home away from home! In Whakato we strive to be that peaceful space where care, nurturing and love comes naturally. We pride ourselves on our ability to build loving attachments with our youngest children. We understand that leaving your baby in the care of others for the first time can be very unsettling, and scary. We welcome you to join us for as many pre-settling visits as you are able to fit in. The more visits you can fit in, the more you will feel at ease as we get to know each other and your baby.

7:30 am:  Our classroom opens, we welcome families and children and share in your aspirations.

9:15 am:  We have morning kai together. This is prepared in our kitchen. The children are served their kai by a teacher while we sit together at the table. Where possible the children are given the opportunity to feed themselves and eat using finger foods.

9:30 am:   Learning through play: children learn when they are engaged in intentional play experiences with their peers, teachers and alongside those around them. Our teachers plan and implement interactive challenging learning experiences that support the development of your child’s learning priority.

11:00 am:  Kai time: we are so lucky to have a prepared lunch from our wonderful centre cook

11:30 am:  Learning through play and exploration.

Our children have their own sleep and bottle routines that are incorporated throughout the day. Each child will be supported through these routines.
